iPhone users will get New Emojis with iOS 11.1

New Emojis

Last November Unicode Consortium approved a group of 56 new emojis based on user demand. We’re FINALLY going to see some of those popping up on your emoji keyboard. The upcoming iOS 11.1 roll out will bring a series of new emojis. From an androgynous person to “I love you” in American Sign Language, you’re sure to find your new favorite amid this new group.

New child, adult, and older adult emojis in a range of skin tones are included, as are characters for person in steamy room, bearded person, mage, fairy, vampire, mermaid, elf, genie, person climbing, person in lotus position, and more, with all of those emoji available in multiple skin tones and genders. While there are 56 distinct new emoji characters, gender/skin tone modifiers and flags bring that total to over 200.
